Flameless Venting
The Flame Catcher™ prevents flame propagation in the event of an explosion, protecting both equipment and personnel. It is commonly used to safeguard dryers, mills, filters, cyclones, and other industrial processes.
Operating Principle
Inside the Flame Catcher™ are multiple layers of metal mesh that form the flame-extinguishing element. This element reduces the temperature of glowing dust and gases below their ignition point. The glowing dust is retained within the extinguishing element, while explosion gases are safely vented to the external environment.
