Vent Panels
Ventilation panels provide safe pressure control in industrial processes, protecting equipment from excessive overpressure or vacuum while ensuring stable system operation. Panels can be flat or domed, round or rectangular, with varying pressure and vacuum resistance, allowing the selection of the optimal solution for a specific process.
They are made from stainless steel AIS 304 (optionally AIS 316) with EPDM seals for operation up to +90°C. Silicone or ceramic gaskets are available if needed. Thermal insulation is made of mineral wool, protected by an aluminum casing for enhanced resistance to external influences.
Operating Principle
The ventilation panel opens when a critical overpressure or vacuum is reached in the equipment. This allows:
Reducing excess pressure and preventing deformation or damage to the housing
Safely releasing accumulated gases or air
Installing additional control sensors (magnetic, inductive, or break-wire), which can be integrated with ATEX safety systems if required
Optionally, panels can be equipped with mounting flanges made of galvanized or stainless steel, as well as fall-prevention grilles to enhance operational safety

An explosion vent is an ATEX safety system designed to relieve explosion pressure. The system’s effectiveness depends on the correct venting area and proper placement on process equipment. See also EN 14491.
