MAIN TYPES OF FLEXCO LOCKS
Locks for Flexco conveyor belts are produced in two types: hinged (movable) and fixed.
Movable (Alligator) connections ensure a reliable connection of the conveyor belt without the formation of spillage and have a long service life.
Fixed connections (such as Bolt Solid) are also used for the repair of conveyor belts.
Recommendations for Selecting Flexco Locks for Belts
When selecting a lock for a belt operating on small diameter drums, it is recommended to use locks with a hinged connection.
Each type of Flexco connector has several different geometric sizes, allowing for optimal selection of connectors based on the characteristics of the conveyor.
Flexco locks are made from various metals and alloys.
Selection of Flexco Locks for Fabric-reinforced Belts:
Determine the tension of the belt
Measure the thickness of the belt at the joint
Determine the diameter of the smallest drive drum with a wrap angle of the belt greater than 90°
Choose the lock according to the table, taking into account the operating conditions of the conveyor
Nominal power of mechanical fasteners ranges from 150 to 620 PIW (from 300 to 1080 kN/m)
Belt thickness ranges from 3/16" to 2" (from 5 mm to 50 mm)
Pulley diameter ranges from 12 to 48 inches (from 300 to 1220 mm)
Seamless connections are ideal for sand, gravel, crushed stone, and cement
Specially shaped teeth penetrate the belt’s framework without damaging the fibers
Bolts with guides for quick and easy installation
Available with rubber-coated upper plates for increased impact protection and compatibility with conveyor components
